Why does your business need a digital marketing strategy? It is essential in today’s world. People are constantly online, so digital marketing can keep you ahead of the game. At Red Shark Digital, we are able to create innovative solutions, bridging the gaps between you and your customers through our various forms of digital marketing. So how do you start?

Set a Goal

You want to help your business grow, whether it be gathering new customers, getting more recognition, or getting ahead of your competitors. Starting off with a specific goal will be sure to help you succeed and give you a good idea of what to focus on. Digital marketing can help businesses prosper, with a lot of strategy and precision involved in the process.

Map the Customer’s Journey

Analyze the customer’s journey from when they are a complete stranger to when they become a lead. This is known as a marketing funnel. Figure out strategies that will encourage them to move through the process, such as lead magnets, calls to action, opt-ins and offers. The marketing funnel has four parts: awareness, interest, desire, and action. In the awareness stage, you want to attract the customer by showing them that you have something they are looking for. The next stage, the interest stage, involves supplying the customer with more information tailored to their specific needs. In the desire stage, the customer will have found the product or service that they want or need, so you will want to explain further about that product or service. In the final stage, the action stage, you will discuss pricing, payment, and other aspects of your product or service that will lead them towards purchasing.

Develop a Call-to-Action

A call-to-action (CTA) comes in the form of image or text and prompts visitors to take action, such as subscribing to a newsletter or requesting a product demo. CTAs should direct people to landing pages, giving you the opportunity to collect visitors’ contact information in exchange for a marketing offer, which can also lead to more leads and conversions for your website. Distribute calls-to-action across your webpage and optimize them, grabbing the attention of users and helping lead a potential customer into the marketing funnel.

Create a Lead Magnet

A lead magnet can be used alone or along with a CTA, either within your marketing funnel or as a way to drive potential customers into it. You will want to use your offers as a way to gather more information about them while also driving them further into the funnel. It is basically a trade-off: you supply visitors with something and, in return, they provide you with more information about themselves. This information is then used to interact with them more as they progress through the funnel.

Drive Traffic

There has to be traffic on your website to get people to move through your marketing funnel, so make sure that you are providing quality content such as blog posts, articles, etc. Use keyword strategy and website optimization as well as social media to inspire more engagement.
