My name is Kate Francis and I am a new Digital Strategist at Red Shark Digital, a digital marketing agency located in Greenville NC. I am a May 2021 graduate from East Carolina University (#RollPirates) with a major in Communications, concentrating in Public Relations. As a military kid, I’ve spent a lot of time in different parts of the world, but I consider home to be Washington, DC. After moving every few years, my family retired in eastern NC where I ended up going to school.After changing my major quite a bit during my time in college, I ended up sticking with Communications. It seemed to just fit me (which is odd, as I am a very introverted person) and it gave me a lot of opportunities to get out of my comfort zone. I was able to get a lot of fun and knowledgeable experiences during my time at ECU, and I look forward to where RSD digital marketing agency will take me!

Likes:

• Shopping: I get so many of my clothes, furniture, shoes, and home decor from second-hand stores. It’s great for the planet and you never know what you’ll find!
• Animals: I have one dog named Lucy and she is one of the best things to ever happen to me! She kept me company during quarantine and is the source of comic relief in my life. While I only have one dog, I love all animals; cats, dogs, rodents, reptiles, even non-domestic animals. I would love to have a pet bear one day, but I don’t think Lucy would like that very much.
• Marvel: I absolutely LOVE Marvel (hello, Chris Evans). I’ve watched every MCU movie and have gone to as many as I can in theaters. I’ve been saving the same AMC movie theater gift card for the last year, waiting to use it to see Black Widow. I can’t wait to see the new movies and shows that come out!

Dislikes:

• The Ocean: While I love animals, the ocean freaks me out. It’s the same with lakes and rivers, in which I can’t see the bottom.
• Brussel Sprouts: Dad, you tried, but I have and will forever hate brussel sprouts.
• Going anywhere on Black Friday: I would do anything to avoid going anywhere on Black Friday. I’ll do my shopping on cyber-Monday, thank you.
