I am Dunn.. With my Intro

Alex Kettler

My name is Logan Dunn and I am one of the new Digital Marketing Interns here at Red Shark Digital. I am originally from a small town called Bahama, North Carolina located in Durham County. I plan to graduate from East Carolina University in the Spring of 2020 with a degree in Business Marketing. In the beginning of college I was very indecisive and hesitant towards picking a major, I never had one specific career set in mind. After attempting three separate majors, I decided to give the College of Business a try. This transition into the College of Business initially seemed frightening due to how broad the Business world is, but the extensiveness of the field ended up working in my favor. Business has the potential to provide an immense amount of opportunities for any individual.

I had never even considered choosing marketing as my concentration, but last December I was granted the opportunity to begin branding a new local boutique here in Greenville. Once I had a glimpse of the creative and innovative aspects of what the marketing field entailed I dove straight in. Throughout this experience of solely utilizing social media, I had discovered a new passion for digital marketing. Marketing also became a quick interest of mine because it is continuously evolving with different social media platforms, and furthermore with social media it allows brands to engage on a more personal level with customers.

I have previously worked with two separate companies as a sales associate, but I am more than ecstatic to begin this internship with Red Shark in order to gain real hands-on skills that correlates specifically to my major. Throughout college I have held multiple positions within my sorority which have helped progress my leadership and responsibility skills tremendously. Attaining these skills have made me more confident than ever that I am fully prepared to take on this internship. I am looking forward to not only expanding my knowledge within marketing as a whole, but growing personally within the marketing field by learning how to challenge myself and tackle new obstacles that may arise along the way.
