Hello! My name is Luis Ramirez, and I am a new Web Development Intern here at Red Shark Digital, a web development agency Greenville, NC. I am currently a senior, majoring in Computer Science at East Carolina University. I was born and raised in Washington, NC, but have recently moved to Chocowinity, NC.

About Me

I have always been the technical troubleshooter in the family ever since I was a little kid. From fixing printers to resetting devices to being an account manager (for the family), whether it be for Google, Apple, or Microsoft. This led me to pursue a Computer Science degree at ECU, where I found a new passion for developing programs, websites, etc. I have enjoyed working with C++ and Java, but my favorite programming language would have to be Python. Throughout my time at ECU, I’ve taken a wide range of classes that have helped me grow both technically and creatively. Some of my favorite courses include Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

Hobbies

When I am not working on a project, I am either:

• At the gym - I love staying active and working on myself
• Playing golf - Definitely an expensive sport, but once you start, it’s hard to stop
• Completing side quests - This can be either cutting grass as a side gig, playing in a random soccer league, participating in a club at school, building and reselling custom PC’s

Dislikes

• Greenville traffic - Pretty self-explanatory
• Onions - ew.
• A long line at Panda Express - Grubhub is a lifesaver

In Conclusion…

I’m someone who’s always looking for ways to grow—whether that’s learning a new coding language, improving my physical health, or picking up a new side hustle just for the experience. I’m excited to bring that same mindset to Red Shark Digital, Greenville, NC’s leading web development agency. This internship is the perfect opportunity for me to take what I’ve learned in my computer science courses and apply it in a real-world, fast-paced environment. I’m especially looking forward to working with a team of experienced professionals, learning new tools and technologies, and sharpening my skills in web development, particularly in front-end design and user experience.

I’m confident this experience will help me become a more well-rounded developer and prepare me for a successful career in tech. I’m grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to contribute to the awesome work being done here at Red Shark Digital.
