Hello, my name is Rhonny King, and I'm thrilled to be joining Red Shark Digital this summer as a Digital Marketing Intern. Originally from Queens, New York, I currently call Greenville, North Carolina home, where I'm finishing my senior year at East Carolina University with a Business degree concentrated in Marketing.

My Journey in Digital Marketing

Creativity has been woven into everything I do since childhood, whether it was nailing a class presentation or perfecting the layout of my room. By my sophomore year of high school, I connected the dots that creativity wasn't just a trait, it was a career path. From that point on, marketing became my path.

My early experience leaned heavily into content creation across my first two internships and my role as Social Media Specialist with the American Marketing Association. But as I looked ahead, I found myself drawn to the analytical side of digital marketing. The strategy, the numbers, the performance.

That shift came into focus during my paid media internship with THE·TEAM (formerly Wasserman), a global sports and entertainment marketing agency. Working across platforms like Meta, Google, TikTok, and more, I got a real look at how data-driven decisions and help move the needle. It sparked something I haven't been able to shake.

Likes:

• Learning New Skills: Every summer I make it my goal to learn something new. Last summer it was pickleball, and this summer I've switched gears entirely with stocks (quite the jump, I know).
• Trying New Restaurants: Every Saturday I challenge myself to eat somewhere I've never been before. It's one of my favorite weekly rituals.
• Traveling: I love to travel! I was just in Paris last week, and Tokyo, Japan is next on my list.

Dislikes:

• The Heat: I am not a fan of being hot or sweaty. In a perfect world, every day would be 60 degrees and I'd live in an igloo.
• Country Music: No explanation needed.
