Hi, my name is Carissa Lopez! As someone who is passionate about the growing scene of digital marketing and social media in Greenville NC, I am thrilled to be the newest Digital PR & Social Media intern at Red Shark Digital. I am currently in my final year at East Carolina University, where I am a double major in Marketing and Accounting.

My Journey So Far

I’m originally from Statesville, NC. I chose to relocate to Greenville, NC, to attend school at ECU because I wanted to venture out a bit from my hometown and dive into the local scene for digital marketing in Greenville, NC. I chose to study marketing because I felt I had a creative and analytical side that would thrive in content creation. I added on accounting because it was fun to me. I like to think of it as chess with math.

Likes:

• Art: I am a hyperrealistic portraiture artist, I love to draw and paint! I love a good art store or museum as well.
• Video Games: I am a huge fan of Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, GTA 5, Little Nightmares, and many more.
• Music: I love to expand my music taste and discover new artists. I enjoy creating playlists and attending concerts. I also really like going to record stores and collecting different vinyls.
• Outdoors: I enjoy walking on different nature trails and seeing waterfalls. I’m always down for anything adventurous!

Dislikes:

• Spiders: I am terrified of them. I’m scared of bugs in general, but spiders and cockroaches have to be my top 2 least favorite bugs.
• Spam texts/calls: I recently got a new number and I get about 20 spam texts a day, it is incredibly annoying.
• Cliffhangers with no resolve: I don’t like when one of my favorite shows gets cancelled and I don’t get to find out what comes next.

Final Thoughts

I’m really excited to be part of the Red Shark Digital team this summer to learn more about the best strategies for digital marketing Greenville NC. I hope to continue to improve my marketing skills, expand my network, and carry what I learn through this internship into my future!
