Hey everyone! My name is Dakota Morgan and I’m a new copywriter at Red Shark Digital, the leading digital marketing Greenville NC agency. Originally from the small town of Chocowinity, I graduated from UNC Wilmington with a BFA in Creative Writing and a minor in Publishing in 2019. After living in Greensboro for over a year, I’ve moved back to the Eastern NC area. Since graduating, I’ve held a number of different service industry jobs. Last year, I taught high school social studies in Alamance County. After (barely) surviving the school year, I decided to make the career change into copywriting and pursue a job that better aligns with my degree and passion for writing and creating. My position at Red Shark Digital will be my first experience working in the internet marketing world, and I’m so excited to get started!

Likes

• I like to write! I was that person that always loved getting assigned research papers or essays. I also like writing creative work (short stories, poetry, sketches, etc.) in my free time.
• For movies/TV, I like comedies, horror, and those cringe-worthy reality shows.
• I like coffee, tea, and pretty much anything with caffeine.
• I can never decide if I like the beach or the mountains more.
• I love hiking and being outside most of the time. I always make it a point to check out every state park, arboretum, or wildlife refuge near me.

Dislikes

• I don’t like drinking wine with a meal. It’s much better by itself.
• The “pizza” flavored Pringles are never my top choice, but most other flavors are acceptable.
• I can’t stand it when I forget to buy the one thing I went to the store for.
• Driving super long distances or being stuck in traffic is never fun.
• I’m not a big fan of fondue restaurants. Why are they so expensive?
