Hi, my name is Jessica, you can call me Jess though, and I am a Digital Strategist here at Red Shark Digital. My friends describe me as honest, sarcastic, and reliable. I was born in Raleigh, NC, but I moved to Wake Forest in high school. It's a 10-minute drive between cities, so nothing major. Despite me growing up as an N.C. State fan (go pack), I'm a soon-to-be graduate from East Carolina University with a Communication degree concentrating in public relations. Go Pirates, too, I guess. A fun fact about me is that I originally went to college to pursue a degree in journalism. Not to be a reporter or news anchor but to be a camera operator.

Once I found out I would have to take four years of a foreign language, I opted out of following that dream and decided to pursue something else. However, I grew up loving sports and thought, why not make that passion into a career? Before working at Red Shark Digital, I had a promotions and marketing internship with the Carolina Mudcats. I loved it but realized it wasn't something I wanted to do forever. Even though I didn't pursue sports further, working alongside the social media and marketing manager at the Mudcats helped me develop a want to learn more about the industry.
